Spohr’s Fantasie is often demanded in harp competitions and auditions. However, until recently, there was no in-depth study by a harpist into a historically-informed stylistic way of performance on the Naderman single-action pedal harp from 1820. This presentation in the World Harp Congress offers a stylistic performance of the piece by delving into the lost harp practices from the 18th and 19th centuries.
The presentation is a challenge of animating the composition by performing beyond the notation, offering the listeners to experience that comes close to the composer’s expectations. The lecture provides a glimpse of the new annotated version of the Fantasie, which will be published early next year by Bärenreiter. The demonstration will be on the single-action and the double-action pedal harp.

It was absolutely exciting to perform the C.Ph. E. Bach, Solo für die Harfe ( 1762) on my Single-Action Pedal Harp by Naderman (Paris 1771). Discussion on the piece was opening a new door for all of us.
Wonderful to have days with Heidrun Rosenzweig, Mara Galassi, Flora Papadopoulos.

BEYOND, written for the Japanese Kugo is a recurrent sound journey of the present and the ancient period. Sound overlaps through centuries, reminiscent of melodies from ancient times and emotions. Beyond lies unwavering tranquillity that lasts forever. The piece is dedicated to Judy Kadar.
After some uncertain time we are allowed to have our concerts and teaching in France. Manja Smits and I am very pleased to receive enthusiastic students in our class this year again!
There have been no updates on my website for over a year! This was not because I was hiding, but simply did not get to update my site. So here is the brief summary of my update of the year.
I started teaching in Hochshule für Musik Detmold, Germany from October 2020. This has brought me a fresh challenge and I have been enjoying it since then!
Although the lockdown situation continued, I had been privileged to several Masterclasses. Some online and some live.
Mozarteum of Salzburg offered me 2 Masterclasses a year, which has been wonderful. I am very happy with the enthusiasm of Stephen Fitzpatrick, who invites me and his brilliant students!
Students of Manja Smits from Conservatory of Zwolle has been involved in playing on the single-action pedal harp this year. It is a delight to hear the students playing enthusiastically on the historical pedal harp!
It was difficult to have live concerts, however the concert in Japan took place! More than 300 audience came to the concert, which was amazing in this period.
I have been busy with playing the Kugo as well. A film of Kugo and a new composition was made recently.
And of course beside these activities, I was captured by photography and making films. Being in the nature brings me happiness and rest in mind.
